6 Tips For Affiliate Managers

What each Affiliate Manager Should Know?

I'm not sure how many managers affiliated to the place of the branch when using the control panels, when choosing which products to display, sell or wait for the first time. But I can tell you about some topics - things that really looks different depending on which side you are.

Therefore, we will discuss about 3 key elements in understanding the behavior of membership:

- Type of membership - they are all members of the same?
- Affiliates Control Panel
- Accessories for the implementation

Are all members of the same?

First, there are a lot of misconceptions about thin affiliates, the (regular) affiliates and super affiliates. We have members that only the thin enrollment in any affiliate program because of the shinny ads on making passive income very easily.

They usually have a "just started" site, a lot of initial enthusiasm and no experience at all. The (regular) members and some experience with affiliate marketing and make some sales, usually as an adjunct or complementary business line income for a full time job.

The super-affiliates on the other hand, are truly a special breed of customers who need special support and services to sell to its full potential.

Therefore, if you are so different that one should concentrate on? Well, at 3.

Affiliate Marketing is a system based on efficiency to promote their products: from the fine members will most likely get free advertising (if you do not sell anything) of (regular) members will get the steady consistent sales, and dinner -- Affiliates will be the cash cow of its affiliate program.

Now, in reality things can be a bit complicated when it comes to all 3 types of membership, and seeking different things:

- Delgado affiliates: quick copy and paste some banners on their websites
- (Regular) members: Attendance, content and efficiency-based incentives
- Super-affiliates: offers unique products and special conditions to maximize the sale of the peak moments.

Affiliates Control Panel

What are the most terrible to work with a member of the control panel? I have a lot to report, just say where you want to stop:

Complicated registration procedures

Say, I have to convert your site into the form. I am excited to look at the products and give it a go with the program. But wait, I have a complicated form that requires me a lot of details, some of them might not be at hand: bank account number verification procedures, or tax forms to fill in. Of course, if I am a participant or a super-affiliate, I will take my time to fill out your forms, but frankly not the best way to begin an "efficiency" of the collaboration.

Hard to browse products

If you have more products (for the affiliate networks that we are talking about hundreds) not being able to filter / search for products on the criteria that I'm concerned, is a major setback. Thin affiliates just by paying higher commission, but the rest will have to find the product in its niche. Here I am talking about the categories, searches based on keywords and conversion reports.

Products not available in the program

Members who actually do the work as a general sales product segments that have a target that can only be approached with specific products. Because they have no signature programs at random, but based on market assessment, the focus on finding products to promote and sell is a little different: they come to your site regularly, have a look at the products, then if you have one that is interesting to note that the network of affiliate program you use and registration. If the product does not exist, of course we can contact you and ask for it, but this is not his job (with the products entered in the affiliate program)?

You can not link to sites that need

Because the process of selling online is very complex, participants may use different techniques to promote products. That's why I only give credit for the purchase of links is not really effective, I might need to link to a page of awards or anything else in its place and if the visitor purchases, it means I did my job and be be paid for my purchase.

Useless creative

Advanced members may make their own application of the creative or maybe some of you customized. Still, if you only need a banner, why should it be so difficult to find one that fits and looks nice?

Ineffective reports
If the member wants to verify the effectiveness of promotions you do, then naturally, you will need a drill down on each link it uses. It does not help much if you just report the number of clicks and sales - need to know how each banner, text link or page has

Accessories for the implementation

Speaking of dinner subsidiaries (but not only), using powerful mechanisms to trigger sales. Special marketing tools they need to do the job, and they usually require direct human interaction with the Manager and Affiliates:

- Special discounts and coupons. Usually, only coupons that will give them a limited time advantage when promoting the product.

- Accurate tracking systems to evaluate all aspects of marketing actions. A / B testing, conversion reports.

- Efficient and personalized pages on the site. If your site does not convert well, then members of the efforts will be spent in vain.

- Plan marketing campaign with the Affiliate Manager. The Affiliate Manager must be available and offer advice on products, targeted market, profile of consumer and marketing activities.

Things really look different depending on your perspective. But no matter what's yours, affiliate marketing is hard work.
